Let's hope the August weather picks up and we can have our small socially distanced garden parties. If you’d like to throw a party for a birthday celebration, anniversary or simply just because it’s the weekend, we’ve got some great garden party ideas to get you going.
Get the BBQ fired up
Keep your small group of guests happy with the "auld reliable" traditional BBQ, now easier than ever with the disposable option available. Don't forget all the accessories that go with it and to ensure your food is fully cooked.
Invest in a gazebo and some additional chairs
With the unpredictability of the Irish weather, you may need to invest in a pop-up gazebo (to protect from the sun and rain) and some additional garden chairs for any unexpected visitors.
Don't forget the lights & music
When daylight starts to fade, have your garden remain invitingly cosy with some solar lights, lanterns, or tea lights in jars around your outdoor space. Set up a Bluetooth speaker outdoors so you can listen to your favourite tunes while entertaining.
Picnicware
Show your environmentally green side by ditching the disposable plates and opt for bamboo or plastic tableware so it can be reused again and again. Keep your drinks cold by creatively filling a plant pot with ice or by investing in a cooling box.
Keep the children entertained
If there are kiddies attending, you will need some outdoor toys to beat the boredom and I am sure the adults may just join in at some stage during the evening. Another great idea during hot weather is to set up a paddling pool for the kids to play and stay cool.
